‘Jewel Flower’ displays enormous dark red blooms that command attention. The flowers are a rich red with a golden yellow center. The receptacle in the center is usually bright yellow but when petaloids are present, they can be pink or green adding extra visual impact.

Egeria densa is one of the most popular aquarium plants in the trade. Commonly sold under the trade name of Anacharis, Egeria densa can tolerate a wide range of conditions in the aquarium making it ideal for all levels of aquatic enthusiasts. Dark green colored leaves and stems give Egeria densa a very lush appearance. Egeria densa has been naturalized in rivers of many parts of the Southeast United States for some time and is typically wild collected for the trade from those areas. Being a tropical plant from South America Egeria Densa is not a threat to the Northern areas. Egeria densa is also used in the water garden trade as an oxygenating plant for ponds and water gardens. Anacharis provides shade and shelter for fish in water gardens and also allows them a place to lay their eggs and hide as juveniles.
Ceratophyllum demersum is one of the most popular aquarium plants in the trade. Hornwort, or Coontail as it is more commonly reffered to is able to tolerate a wide range of aquatic conditions which is the reason for its popularity. Ceratophyllum demersum is also very common is the water garden industry where is is used as an oxgenating plant for small water features and ponds. Hornwort is fine with just being floated in a body of open water and can be broken into pieces to establish new plants. Ceratophyllum demersum is native to the United states and makes an excellent habitat for fish to lay eggs on or hide in.
Vallisneria is a genus of freshwater aquatic plant, commonly called eelgrass, tape grass or vallis. The genus is widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. Vallisneria is a submerged plant that spreads by runners and sometimes forms tall underwater meadows
Bacopa monnieri is a very undemanding aquatic plant and makes a great choice for beginners. Moneywort, as it is known by its common name has small, round, green leaves that help to add a different texture in the aquarium. Use Bacopa monnierie as a background plant or keep some stems trimmed back in the midground area of the planted aquarium. Remember when you trim the stem plants in your aquarium, the cuttings can be replanted to make additional clusters. Bacopa monnieri is also a native aquatic plant to the United States that can be used in settings ranging from water garden borders to fully submerged aquariums.
Umbrella palm (Cyperus alternifolius) is a tropical plant.
STANDARD can grow to almost six feet in height
DWARF Grows to two feet in height.
Both varieties are available and prove an excellent choice for smaller ponds and container water gardens. The height of an umbrella palm creates a soft backdrop for shorter aquatic plants, such as water lilies.
GIANT
Papyrus is a member of a group of grass-like plants called nutsedges. It produces solid, triangular-shaped stems that can become quite tall, sometimes reaching a height of 6 to 10 feet. When papyrus blooms, up to 100 thin, green, thread-like filaments appear in a circular arrangement at the end of each stem.
DWARF/GIANT
The Dwarf Giant/King Tut Papyrus is an excellent marginal plant that is popular with water gardeners. The short and compact nature of this plant makes it easier to maintain in small water gardens or patio container gardens. The mop-like heads grow 10"-12" across the plant and stands up to 36" tall. This tropical bog plant winters over easily as a houseplant in colder regions.
DWARF
The Dwarf Papyrus, also known as the Dwarf Egyptian Papyrus is an excellent marshy plant in small pools or when kept as a houseplant. It is the dwarf variety of the Giant Papyrus, and has strong stems reaching up to 30 inches tall with tufted umbrella-like foliage on the end. The tufts are yellow-green and turn a rich bronze in late summer.
Red Stem Thalia has broad canna-like leaves with purple flowers during the summer months. Also known as Red Stemmed Alligator Flag. Grows to a height of 4' to 5' tall.
Sagittaria montevidensis, has large, stiff, spear-shaped leaves that are produced at the end of thick stems. They may grow 2 to 4 feet tall and should be kept in 1 to 6 inches water depth. Sagittaria montevidensis flowers bloom all season
The Pickerel Rush has Shiny, green, spear-shaped foliage with distinctive swirling send up spikes of soft flowers, reaching 18 to 24" tall, or slightly more. The flower spikes grow from leaf bracts at the top of stems.
Irises are among the most favored of the bog plants. Their foliage is attractive and is good as a backdrop or as an adjunct to the other plants in the bog. Their flowers have an obvious appeal, being among the most exotic flowers in the hobby. They are useful as filtering agents in ponds.
