The Asian lemon bamboo is a beautiful Chinese bamboo with spectacular colors. This eye-catching species has bright yellow culms with deep green stripes and pink shoots. In its native country, it is highly treasured as an ornamental plant for its beautiful coloration and stunning height. This is a species that is both attractive and strong, being very frost tolerant and vigorous.

Very popular and useful for many applications, clumping bamboos grow just as their name implies. These plants' rhizome system grows like an inverted umbrella under the soil, producing new shoots, concentrically, with each annual shoot season, slowly enlarging the plant's circumference as it matures.
Bambusa chungii is a gorgeous clumping bamboo with culms coated in white powder (bloom) which gives shaded culms a blue tint and makes it an extremely attractive choice for ornamental landscaping.
